WHICH COURSE SHOULD I CHOOSE?
If you are a beginner with no makeup technique and product knowledge the 40 hrs pro makeup course is what you need
If you already are a makeup artist or hairdresser and you are looking at improving your technique or taking your skills to the next level, the 20 hrs pro class is perfect
If you only to learn or improve a specific look or specialty training such as bridal makeup, then the 5hrs courses are for you.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
For the 40 hour course, you don’t need anything as you a full professional makeup kit is given to you.
For any other courses, you are expected to have and bring you own makeup kit.
If you do not have a kit or need to replace missing items, kits, product and tools are available for purchase.
DO I NEED A COSMETOLOGY LICENSE TO BE A MAKEUP ARTIST?
No, you do not. In Massachusetts, you can operate as an independent makeup artist without any required licensing. If you want to work in a salon you will need a Cosmetology license, which is issued by the state upon completion of 1000 hours in a Cosmetology Program as well as a written and practical state board exam.
WHAT WILL I RECEIVE AT THE END OF MY COURSE?
You will receive a certificate of completion from the Alicia Makeup Academy, which will recognize your completion of the course.

Yes, we do offer the option for you to take salon classes in private. To inquire about this option, contact us.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE PRO MAKEUP COURSES?
40 Hour Courses: If you take the course 3 days per week and 3 hrs per day it will take you 5 weeks to complete
20 Hour Courses: If you schedule the course privately, you can do 5 hour days over 4 days to complete.
